Our offices are open full-time.

While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

As a reminder, for all patients — surgical and non-surgical — we offer telemedicine/virtual visits accessible from the comfort and safety of your own home. We are also seeing patients in our office with enhanced safety/health procedures.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office closely adheres to infection control guidelines provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Health (PA DOH), the American Dental Association (ADA), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and Occupational and Safety Health Administration (OSHA).

You may notice some changes when it is time for your next appointment.
Here is what you can expect as we maintain a COVID-safe environment at PennDIOS:

  • All patients are being screened prior to their appointment per CDC guidelines. Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask screening questions. You may be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
  • All employees and providers in direct contact with patients are being screened daily in the same manner as our patients and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with PA DOH, ADA, CDC and OSHA and guidelines.
  • All offices provide seating that complies with social distancing guidelines.

To Our Patients, Professional Colleagues, and Hospitals.

We are writing to let you know that we are dedicated to your health and well-being.

Per the recommendations of the White House, CDC, ADA, PDA, and the AMA regarding the COVID-19, Coronavirus, we will close all of our outpatient facilities until April 1, 2020.

We will be available for dental emergencies and will triage patients appropriately.

In case of any emergency, please take the following steps:

Information About COVID-19

In recognition of ongoing news reports and the continued spread of the COVID-19 virus, we realize our patients have questions. As dedicated health care professionals, we want you to know that we remain as diligent as ever in protecting the health and safety of our patients and staff. Our practice strictly adheres to and exceeds the standards for infection control by wearing personal protective gear, using hospital-grade disinfectants, practicing the latest sterilization protocols, utilizing single-use disposable materials, and more. Every effort we have in place is to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. We want you to know that we are monitoring this situation very closely, and we will keep you updated regularly.

Symptoms of coronavirus are reported as flu-like, with varying degrees of severity. While we do not know everything about this virus to date, individuals who are elderly and/or immunocompromised appear to be the most at risk of a severe infection. To ensure your health and safety, and the health and safety of everyone at our practice, please reschedule your appointment if you or a member of your household has a cough, fever, and/or flu-like symptoms. In addition, please reschedule your appointment if you have traveled to any areas within the past 14 days that are at high risk for contracting the coronavirus.
